The Antwerp rug in a living room

Antwerp Design Week 2026

Something special is happening 30 May - 3 June 2026

We're excited to welcome you to The Living Showroom. For Antwerp Design Week, we're teaming up with Benofice to bring the world of MillerKnoll to a space that's been here since 1753. We're also launching a new carpet collection by architect Luc Binst, with keynotes by Quentin Herbreteau and Mark Catchlove.

Five days of design, craftsmanship and materials that might surprise you. Come say hi!

30 May - 3 June 2026  ·  Paardenmarkt 68, 2000 Antwerp

Wool & Wire x Benofice

Two worlds in one living space.

Wool & Wire hosts The Living Showroom with Benofice, who brings the world of MillerKnoll into the rooms of an 18th-century palace. Two worlds, one space - both built around what should last.

Aequor, Luc Binst's waterfront tower on Het Eilandje - the geometry behind the Antwerp rug

A new rug: Antwerp - designed by Luc Binst for Wool & Wire, is the only piece in the collection to carry the city's name. The pattern is taken directly from the geometry of Aequor, his waterfront tower on Het Eilandje, translated from concrete to fibre.

"For me, the façade of a building and the objects within it should never feel separate - they're one story. That's what makes this collaboration with Wool & Wire feel natural. A growing Belgian label, making something of real quality. Everything made in Belgium and Europe. This is Belgium. This is Antwerp. This is us - Luc Binst and Wool & Wire."

The Materials

Every rug starts somewhere - a field, a forest, a plant that took years to grow.

The Living Showroom is a chance to meet a few of them.

Wool

Wool

From New Zealand

Self-cleaning and breathable, wool handles water better than most synthetics, and even handles fire.

Most of ours comes from New Zealand, where the sheep live remarkably good lives. The climate gives the wool a longer, stronger fibre.

Wool

Sisal

Sisal

From Brazil

Sisal is an agave - cousin to the plant that gives us tequila and mezcal. Flat and shiny, it reflects light so beautifully that craftsmen describe it as especially interesting to work with on three-dimensional pieces.

Wood fibre

Wood fibre

From European forests

The kind of paper you'd never expect to walk on. Dense, dust-resistant, surprisingly soft. A quieter material than wool or sisal - it lends a softness and sheen the others can't, without asking for attention.
